Five Special Rapporteurs and members of two UN Working Groups sent a joint communication to the Ansar Allah movement or Houthi movement, the de facto authority in Sana’a and large parts of northern Yemen. The communication addresses allegations of arbitrary deprivation of liberty, acts tantamount to enforced disappearance, serious breaches of due process guarantees and of the right to defence, ill treatment in captivity, sentencing to death and risk of imminent execution of Yemeni human rights activist Ms. Fatima Saleh Al-Arwali.
