The Special Rapporteur and other special procedures sent a communication to the Government of Thailand concerning the long-term sentence of 50 years in prison recently handed down to Mr. Monghkon Thirakot, which appears to be in retaliation of his political activism online and offline, and the expression of his opinion about the Thai Monarchy.
